Purpose and contribution to company strategy
Top Employers Institute is trusted by leading organizations to assess, benchmark, and improve their people practices. This is a strategic, client-facing role focused on delivering high-impact HR advisory while ensuring exceptional client experience and retention across key accounts in China and North Asia region.
This role engages directly with senior HR leaders — including CHROs and HR transformation teams — to interpret insights, influence strategy, and shape the future of work within client organizations. You will also act as a visible thought leader and internal innovator, helping us scale impact of advisory and continuously evolve our offerings.

Strategic HR Advisory

- Lead strategic, insight-rich advisory sessions with senior stakeholders using client data, peer benchmarks, and external HR trends – taking macro trends into account.
- Design and deliver tailored recommendations aligned to each client’s people priorities (e.g., DEI, EVP, skills, AI readiness, leadership development).
- Guide maturity journeys and translate data into business-relevant HR narratives.
- Build influence and trust with CHROs and global HR leaders across industries.
- Co-develop advisory roadmaps and link engagement to long-term transformation initiatives.
- Deliver virtual and in person workshops as part of the value added advisory services
Thought Leadership & Influence

- Represent Top Employers Institute at internal and external events (roundtables, webinars, panels).
- Create and share strategic insights in collaboration with Marketing and Research teams.
- Elevate our brand by contributing to white papers, briefings, and client-facing narratives on workforce trends.
- Stay on top of emerging issues (AI, hybrid work, generational shifts) and act as a trend translator for clients and internal teams.

Qualification Criteria
- Experience in HR consulting, strategy, or talent advisory.

- Experience with benchmarking, employer branding, or certification programs is a strong advantage.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; other Asian languages are a plus.
- Based in Shanghai with occasional domestic and regional travel

Your contribution to our company and strategy
The HR Auditor is responsible for the delivery of the certification process for local clients participating in our annual programmes across the globe. Their job is to support the clients in submitting the survey and validate its answers and to ensure the certification process is objective and diligent.
He/she supports the quality checks and helps with quality assurance. He/she collects HR insights and shares them internally and externally. The HR Auditor also participates in many processes and delivery improvement projects in addition to other special projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the onboarding of their clients and lead the delivery of the Certification process for local clients.
· Carry out Quality Checks to support the rapid delivery of certification and results to clients.
· Update client-related data regarding the Certification Process (e.g., Key Information as Deadlines and Status) and make it transparent and accessible for other stakeholders in the organization. Use common systems and tools such as Salesforce and SharePoint.
· Support the delivery of our international clients (validation of affiliates/local entities), align with other HR Auditors, and report potential issues to the leading colleagues.
· Carry out a range of quality assurance activities for international clients (under the guidance of senior colleagues.)
· Analyze data and results to carry out results sessions for local clients.
· Support the analysis of data for senior colleagues to carry out group result sessions for international Clients.
· Gather insights and best practices from colleagues and clients to develop content for local connect events or websites.
· Gather HR best practices from clients and share HR knowledge within the organization.
· Conduct various Workshops/ Webinars (e.g., Welcome Webinar, Certification/Benchmark Activation Session)
· Help translating the survey and other process related material (e.g., Email templates, Webinar Slides).
· Participate in special certification projects (e.g., Trends Report)

What We’re Looking For
General Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in HR (or equivalent).
· Minimum 3 years of experience in HR (generalist or specialist roles).
· Previous experience in a mid-sized local company (50-249 employees). Experience in a an international (250-10 000 with international presence) or multinational company (more than 10 000 employees, regional HQs, Global HQ) is an advantage.
· Strong HR Knowledge.
· Good client-facing and internal communication skills.
· Fluent in Mandarin (for business) & English (written and spoken for business). Fluent in any other additional language would be advantageous.
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Organized, autonomous, and fast learner.
