Objective & Direction
Support the planning and execution of the Top Employers global conference 2027 — our flagship event in Amsterdam in spring 2027. You’ll work alongside the events team on day-to-day tasks that keep a large international conference on track, from logistics coordination and supplier follow-up to attendee facing materials, social media content and on-site support. This is a hands-on, learning-focused role where you’ll help execute the plans set by the team, gaining first-hand experience in how a global events comes together.

Scope
What you will do:
✔ Support the planning and coordination of key event logistics (venue, suppliers, registration, agenda logistics) and internal communications (updates, milestones, FAQs) for TEI teams
✔Help maintain event timelines, checklists and trackers to keep planning on schedule according to our RAPID framework
✔ Contribute to the development of a client communications approach on messaging, content calendar and delivery formats
✔ Draft and prepare communications content using agreed messaging to communicate the value of attending the conference
✔ Help prepare materials, sign-off documents and briefing decks for internal stakeholders
✔ Support the event media strategy across LinkedIn and other social channels (pre, during, post-event)
✔ Help source, curate and repurpose event content (videos, testimonials, photos, activations)
✔ Assist with coordinating translations of key communications materials where needed
✔ Support the production of event assets such as opening videos, slide decks and media content
✔ Contribute ideas for improving the attendee experience and event delivery

Level
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Dutch HBO or WO institution studying Communications, Marketing or a related field, or be a recent graduate who is eligible to complete a traineeship in the Netherlands. The internship/traineeship must comply with Dutch internship regulations.

Reporting To: Global Head of Events
Working closely with: Chief Marketing Officer and events agency

Requirements
Education:

  • HBO or WO in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field

Experience & Skills:
✔ Strong writing and editing skills in English (essential)
✔ Comfortable creating content for multiple channels (email, social media, web, video)
✔ Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams
✔ Comfortable with tools or willing to learn: Cvent, Monday.com, Canva, basic video editing
✔ Interest in event communications and audience engagement strategies
✔ Ability to work collaboratively across teams
✔ Curious about how communications drive business outcomes
✔ Experience with or enthusiasm for social media strategy is a plus

Intern Salary
Standard internship compensation (as per company policy) — €600 per month

Working Hours / Setup
Schedule: 5 days per week, 40 hours
Duration: ~20 weeks — start September 2026
Split: 70% hands-on comms work / 30% internship assignment

Languages
Fluency in English is required
