Dow is the largest foreign investor in the petrochemical sector in Saudi Arabia, with offices and facilities in Khobar, Riyadh, Thuwal and Jubail. Sadara Chemical Company, a US$20 billion joint venture developed by Dow and Saudi Aramco located in Jubail, is the world’s largest chemical complex ever built at one time. Dow’s first and only Reverse Osmosis membranes manufacturing facility outside of the U.S is in Jubail. Dow was the first company to receive a trading license from the Saudi government in June, 2016. Dow’s new, state of the art Middle East Innovation Center, located at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Thuwal, will open in 2018.
