Successori Reda

Successori Reda S.p.A. is the leading company in the production of sustainable fabrics in pure Merino wool. Founded in 1865, the historic woolen mill directly manages and controls the entire production chain. The attention to detail and the reinterpretation of classic tailoring designs are the hallmarks of each Reda fabric, an authentic expression of luxury Made in Italy. Crucial to Reda's philosophy is the drive for technological innovation aimed at finding cutting-edge solutions that allow the creation of high-performance fabrics in full respect of the environment. Reda is in fact one of the few woolen mills to boast a Research and Development department entirely dedicated to research and innovation. The creation of high quality performance fabrics and the promotion of sustainable processes are the basis of Reda's commitment, which has always been attentive to social needs and promotes a constant improvement of working conditions of its employees, in addition to measuring the environmental impact of its production since 2004. Since 2020 Reda is the first Italian textile company and among the first in the world to obtain the B Corp certification, strengthening its leadership in innovation in a direction of social and environmental sustainability. In terms of environmental protection, Reda monitors all phases from the fleece to the fabric. Reda prefers to buy certified Merino wools (SustainaWOOL and ZQ). In 2004, the company obtained EMAS certification, the eco-management system that ensures full compliance with legislative standards and continuous improvement of environmental performance. In 2019 Reda publishes two EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations), protocols that certify what and how many impacts are generated by the company to give life to its fabrics. In addition, in the plant energy is produced with renewable sources through photovoltaics, waste is recycled with which padding is made or flannel carded with by-products.
