CANON France S.A.S.
Since its creation in Japan in 1937, the Canon Group has pursued a strategy of diversifying its activities around images and documents, allowing it today to be a leader in its markets around the world. The brand is dedicated to private individuals and professionals, as well as industries, offering a wide range of technologies and services, which sets the Group apart from its competitors.
Canon France is part of Canon Europe, which is headquartered in London and covers the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Canon France markets the brand's products, solutions and services through various distribution networks.
The French group, composed of Canon France as well as its subsidiaries Fac-similé and Canon France Business Services (which is specialized in outsourcing business process services), employs nearly 2,100 people throughout the country. Canon Bretagne (a cartridge reconditioning and services site) and Canon Research Centre France (R&D) are also two Canon Group sites in France.
By monitoring the needs of its customers and consumers and market evolutions, Canon makes sure to develop its activities through a sustainable approach based on Kyosei, its corporate philosophy, which means "living and working together for the common good".
Thus, in various fields, Canon carries out actions to face environmental and societal issues in countries where the brand is established. Some examples include measures to reduce the group's environmental impact on the entire lifecycle of its products, from production to obsolescence (protecting resources thanks to recycling and refurbishing programs), development of youth programs, etc.
At a local level, Canon France engages in partnerships with associations and pays special attention to supporting its employees through training, workshops dedicated to health or programs to encourage diversity and inclusion. Indeed, Canon France is pleased to have recently achieved a score of 87/100 under the Gender Equality index set up by the French government through the Professional Equality Law. Finally, since 2017, the French subsidiary has initiated Women@Canon, the first-ever women's network in the Canon Group, whose mission is to promote women within the company.
