Established in 1985, SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. (SVW) is a Sino-German car-producing joint venture. SVW has now established five manufacturing bases in Anting Shanghai, Nanjing, Yizheng, Ningbo, Urmuqi, Changsha with its headquarter located in Anting. Based on the VW Brand and the Skoda Brand, SVW currently makes cars from several series, including Polo, Touran, Lavida, Tiguan, Santana, Passat, Lamando, PHIDEON, Fabia, Octavia, Superb, Yeti.
