Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has been in Brazil since 2000 with the sale of Camel and Winston cigarettes. In 2009 we installed our tobacco production and processing operation in Santa Cruz do Sul (RS). In 2011, we inaugurated a Center of Agronomic Development, Extension and Training (ADET), where we developed the best solutions and technologies for the production of a high quality tobacco together with the 11 thousand integrated producers.
It is also in Santa Cruz do Sul that in 2018 we opened the first JTI cigar factory in South America, an investment of more than R $ 85 million and capacity to produce up to 4 billion cigarettes per year.
