Product Owner / Salesforce

The Product Owner is responsible for gathering business requirements and translating these requirements into solutions. You will be member of our Digital Team and you’ll be responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Backlog to streamline the execution of priorities. You will maintain the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components.

As a Product Owner you like to make determined efforts to deal with complex business challenges and solve them through business and process improvements. You deliver innovative solutions using Salesforce.

As a Product Owner you enjoy working with multiple teams to bridge the gap between business problems and technical Salesforce solutions. Your in-depth knowledge of business processes and Salesforce makes you a trusted advisor. You work closely with our business clusters (Marketing / Sales / Certification / Finance) and our internal and external development teams.

As part of the Global Digital team, you participate in and lead a number of projects that are part of our digital programme to further develop and improve our digital strategy.

Key result areas and main activities

Leading the product development on our Salesforce Digital platform:

  • Prioritises and manages Backlog items
  • Define goals and creates a vision for development projects
  • Anticipates on client needs
  • Acts as primary liaison between stakeholders and team

Well managing the business requirements:

  • Translates business requirements into Salesforce solutions
  • Liasions between the cluster teams and development team during the requirements gathering process
  • Transforms requirements into user stories
  • Based on input from the various business clusters (Marketing / Sales / Finance / Certification) analyses business needs and translates these into Salesforce solutions

Supporting the project delivery:

  • Salesforce configuration
  • Provides and shares Salesforce knowledge with various stakeholders
  • Supports business clusters during end user training sessions
  • Supports creation of training material (Trailhead)

Executing projects:

  • Directs and manages projects and the day to day project activities
  • Initiates project changes to ensure these are documented, aligned with the project objectives and communication to the stakeholders
  • Divides the project into tasks (a sequence of tasks) to enable tracking and control

Monitoring and controlling the project:

  • Monitors the project budget and schedule status to ensure variances are identified and acted on
  • Creates project updates to inform project stakeholders about the status and progress

Closing the project to assure:

  • That all the work has been completed
  • That all agreed upon project management processes have been executed
  • Formal recognition of the completion of a project

Qualification Criteria

  • Fluent in English
  • Based in The Netherlands, Amsterdam
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner
  • Experience as a Salesforce Business Consultant (preferred)
  • Experience with Salesforce configuration
  • Hands on experience with Salesforce (Lightning preference)
  • Experienced in project management
  • Certifications:
    • Salesforce Sales Cloud (required)
    • Salesforce Administrator (required)
    • Product Owner / Scrum master (preferred)
    • Salesforce Platform App Builder (preferred)
    • Salesforce Experience Cloud (preferred)
  • Experience with working in an international global organization
